This network map shows the Norwegian train lines. Today, the lines are operated by several companies such as Vy, SJ Norge and Go-Ahead Nordic. The map combines day and night trains. This is easily possible, because the day and night trains follow the same lines. The challenge of drawing this map consists of dealing with the large differences in the density of the network and stops. Another issue was to generalise the coastline towards the Antlantic Ocean with its innumerable fjords.
