This is my first entry on a local transport network. It shows the tram and bus network of the Glattal area. It is located in the north of Zurich, the biggest city in Switzerland. In the last years, the population and the number of employees increased steadily. An important driver for the development is Zurich Airport. Furthermore, it is one of the largest local transport hubs in Switzerland. Apart from multiple bus and train lines, also three tram lines 10, 11 and 12 run through the north of Zurich.
As all parts of the Zurich area, there is an official local network map. In contrast to the official one, my map provides additional information. It shows a larger part of Zurich’s northern area and includes the regions of Furttal and the cities Illnau-Effretikon and Volketswil. In addition, the tram and bus lines leading to Zurich are shown in their full length (exception tram line 11). Moreover, the map consists of frequency information, shown by the contour lines.
