The Sweden Map from 2022 has got an update. There have been almost no changes to the network. The biggest change concerns the Øresundståg. Their trains end at Østerport instead of Nivå. There is a second train per hour between Østerport and Helsingborg.

If interested, make also sure to have a look at the Sweden Night Train Map 2023.

  1. Diesel trains Umeå-Lycksele were discontinued in December 2022. Passengers are directed to buses instead. Long term, the aim is to electrify the line from Hällnäs to Lycksele, but there are no concrete plans.

      1. While understandable, they seem clunky and machine translated. For example “färjan” but not “flygplatsen”, and “trains stop/are stopping” instead of the noun “train stop” (might be intentional?)

        I’d write it like this:

        Tåglinjer
        Station
        Station vissa avgångar
        Slutstation
        Centralstation
        Färjeförbindelse
        Flygförbindelse
Kartan är inofficiell. All information utan garanti.

        Turtäthet
Mer än en avgång i timmen
Fler än fem avgångar om dagen
Färre än fem avgångar om dagen

it’s spelled Kattegatt in Swedish 🙂

        Thanks again for the map!

      2. Oh, thank you so much for your suggestions. It’s a great help! I will change the text as soon as possible. Min svenska är tyvärr inte perfekt. 🙂 In other maps, too, the legend is probably a weak point, as I don’t know all the languages (well).

I have to approve your comment before it appears on the website, so that’s why you couldn’t see it.

    1. Thank you for the hint. I have intentionally decided not to include the Roslagsbanan and Lidingöbanan because of their local and isolated character (narrow gauge, no connection to the national rail network). However, of course, including them would be possible as well.

  3. What about the Tåg i Bergslagen trains from Stockholm? I have personally seen them and I think it’s weird that it is on the list of that part of Sweden but not on the map

    1. Thank you for your comment. Over the years, the choice of unregular train services on my map has become a little bit messy. As far as I am aware, there are only very few (i.e. non-daily) Tågåkeriet i Bergslagen services to Stockholm, less than on the Bergslagen line. This is why the Stockholm service does not appear on the map. However, I will systematisize the map for the 2024 version and solve that issue.
