In 2024, also Luxembourg joins my network map collection. It is the smallest country that I have mapped so far. The systematic connections allow an clear map, although the big difference in network density from north to south is a challenge. The map was part of the preparation for travelling on all the train lines in Luxembourg, as I could not find a map showing the train connections and not just the lines.
The map is based on a 36° angle structure in order to fit the radial lines from Luxembourg City in an optimal way. This structure also allows the line to Troisvierges and Liège to be properly aligned. The colours and numbers of the lines correspond to the official ones. As not all connections exist on weekends, I have made three versions of the map for Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
