For the first time, I have designed a supplement to the Monday-Friday and Weekend Belgium map.
Piekuur-Trains (P-Trains) run, surprise, during rush hours on weekdays and on Sunday evenings. As they run completely differently to the regular lines, they are not shown on the basic network maps. However, the P-Trains are interesting for SNCB/NMBS connoisseurs: They are often operated with old rolling stock and sometimes run on bypass lines not used by the regular lines. Voilà, that is why I present this P-train map.
I have distinguished between the Sunday evening P-trains, the IC-like P-trains to/from Brussels and the other more regional P-trains outside Brussels. The S81 services in Brussels are also included in the map, as this line only runs during rush hour.
I have carefully worked my way through the SNCB/NMBS timetables and filtered out the P-trains. However, the variety is very large and it is easy to miss a single train. So if you think you’ve found an error, don’t hesitate to contact me.
