The year 2026 has brought some smaller changes to the Dutch railway network. The changes can be seen in comparison with the 2025 diagram of the Netherlands. The major changes were:
- The former Sprinter Vlissingen-Roosendaal is now part of the extended Intercity line Vlissingen-Roosendaal-Arnhem-Zwolle.
- On weekends, the Intercity trains from Heerlen to Eindhoven continue to Amsterdam once an hour.
- Between Uitgeest, Amsterdam and Breukelen, there are two additional Sprinter trains per hour on weekends.
- Between Amersfoort and Deventer, the Intercity trains run more frequent
- Around Groningen, the Arriva connections have been reorganised. There are more through trains than before.
