The timetable change in December 2025 brought mainly changes for the S trains Brussels, which have been taken into account in the update of the Belgium 2025 diagrams:

  • There are additional services on the S3 line from Monday to Friday between Dendermonde and Geraardsbergen, completing the existing services to a thirty-minute frequency.
  • The S4 line continues from Brussels-Luxembourg to Louvain-la-Neuve instead of Mechelen, replacing the S81 service. In addition, there is a second train per hour between Aalst and Brussels-Luxembourg on weekdays. On weekends, hourly S4 trains are introduced between Aalst and Brussels-Luxembourg.
  • On weekdays, the S5 line runs twice an hour and is extended from Halle to Geraardsbergen.
  • The S6 service is replaced by more frequent S3 and S8 trains.
  • The S7 line runs twice an hour between Halle, Brussels-Luxembourg and Vilvoorde on weekdays. Once an hour, it replaces the former branch of the S4 service.
  • There are two hourly services on the S8 line also between Zottegem and Brussels.
  • The L trains from Libramont to Arlon are extended to Luxembourg.
  • Due to the more frequent S trains around Brussels and the adapted L train timetables Libramont-Arlon, some P trains have been adapted.
